This may be an archalien question. Sentia 244 running Vista Basic. When running xp i could do the clone desktop thingy on both displays but i can only extend desktop in Vista, any ideas would be helpful for a work situation.

I know in some situations (certain hardware/driver combinations) that clone would only work when outputting the same resolution(which is never what neone wants to do anyway.....)
As I no longer have my 244 I cant verify much directly for you.
My best guess is that its a problem with the vista driver or a limitation of vista basic, my best guess would be the first option though.
I would try to find the latest vista driver on Intels website and try it, or try installing the latest xp driver off intels site. Always FORCE run install programs as administrator!!!! and if still no go try installing the xp driver in XP Compatibility mode.
If u could get either driver to install and still no go, try using Vista Update and it probably will ask u to install the latest driver M$ has on file, and try that one.
Those are my best guesses and solution tips at this point. It may be that they decided to disable that option for some arbitrary reason though....?
If u get ne more info let me know and Ill see if I can come up w/ nething else.
