Hey guys.
Will there be any benefit in a way that Vista works if i choose a laptop with:

Integrated Intell GMA950 (pretty much the lowest video card u can get)
Nvidia 6150/ATI 1150 (still integrated, but people say it is much better than GMA950 and at least you can run some old games on it too)
Nvidia 7200/7300 (weakest video card you can get right now, but its dedicated)

The answer you provide will be deciding factor wether i get GMA950 or better.
I just cant make up my mind because people say GMA950 is weak if you want to run Vista's eye candy feature...and others say GMA950 is more than enough for Vista's eye candy unless you want to play games (i dont want to play games, but its a plus)

See my sig:

Vista runs great on my laptop, no complaints graphically speaking. Graphics receive a 3.1 which isn't bad. A mobile ATI9600 i installed Vista on got a 3.2 to give you a comparison. As far as games are concerned, you're barking up the wrong tree with integrated graphics. I'm not saying you can't play some games, but these chipsets/graphics are designed for mobility, not gaming. I'll assume you're looking at something 14" or below, it's just a tradeoff you need to accept with a smaller notebook.

Yeah I get a 3.1 and that's not too bad,(See Sig Below) I don't play games on this notebook, I just use my roomies XBOX 360 and a SONY PS3 for that, I like the mobility of a notebook, I haven't owned a Desktop in over 3 yrs now........I don't know how to post a screen shot in this forum, so here's a link to my Vista Base Score: http://www.dslreports.com/speak/slid...Q4NH5zdGFydD0w

I have a 2.1 rating with a GMA 950, but I have 2gb ram and mine runs fine. The only thing I noticed is that my dual core cpu is constantly working, even when I just open and close windows (1.73 centrino duo). Is there any way to fix this or what is the reason? Is aero using that much processing power?

Just updated, it was 2.1 with 1.5 gb of ram, now with 2gb it is a 3.0. I didn't know you had to update the score.
