Dead Sentia

Thread Starter
My Sentia died suddenly. It was operating fine then one time it just doesn't show any signs of life. I tried two different AC adapters and two different batteries. No lights at all. Neither the power button or the player button do anything. The battery charge light is off. Anyone seen this before? Alienware was no help with tech support or parts support. Any ideas on what to try next would be welcome. Thanks

Try replacing the bios battery, similar thing happened to mine. If its a 233, the bios battery is underneath the wireless network card.

maybe a silly question, but I'm slightly AW ignorant.. what is this 233 and 244 Sentia thing??

The 244 was the original 14 inch sentia, the 233 was the follow up 12" version with a bump in some stats/features but a smaller screen size

Hello,

I know this is old...but I just read this today as I search for the same issue.
I just got a new replacement battery for my Sentia233 because the battery is not holding charge anymore.

Things went okay for 2 months then suddenly, the same problem happened. It stopped charging!

what do you think?...is it the laptop?...or the batterry?...the adapter...
By the way, it runs fine on AC adapter.

Now, I'm left immobile again!

I'm having the same problem actually. Just got the new battery last week.

it's definitely a design flaw.
