Hi - I am looking to place an order for a 5660 with 2.4ghz, 1gb ram, uxga screen, 60gb 5400rpm & dvd/cd burner combo.

What is the current turnaround time for this sort of spec? (ie am I looking at 1 week.. 2 weeks.. etc?)

Thanks in advance!

Huh?

where are you?

If you are in the US then you can pay a little more and have it in two days. The worst is a week.

Outside USA I have no idea...

He's in Davis CA.

Basically, you're screwed. Either you pay sales tax and wait only 1 or 2 days, OR you don't and you have to wait an extra 2 days for PCTORQUE to ship it out to him. Darn the fact that sager is California based! Why didn't they just start up in Montana!

aah profiles :)

I niver have time to look at em profiles.

Anyway - get a friend on the border to place the order - or if you're going somewhere for Spring Break - make the friend order it - go there and pick it up

Stupid but hey!

I'll be sorry once PC Torque moves to Florida - all the extra $$$ just because he is in the same state - I dont understand that concept!!

forgot about the sales tax

the other option is to buy the same spec from someone outside of California, like powernotebooks.com who are in Nevada.

Anyone had any experience with them?

Thanks, Kevin

Check this out

read the reviews there. I am sure the sales tax will not account for much but you will be paying for unnecessary shipping see...

Anyways...

PCTorque and PowerNotebooks.com are the only two people I'd even consider buying from. They are both excellent!

Sales tax won't matter pretty soon. I think the moritorium has been lifted and that gives way for states to start charging internet sales tax. (excuse my spelling, I'm too lazy to go to dictionary.com)
