Vista Problem With Bluetooth 355 & Nvidia 100 Series Drivers...

Everyone,

I was recently having a problem with my Truemobile 355 and bluetooth mouse and headset and Windows Vista. I finally figured out what the problem is. The 100 Series drivers for vista cause an IRQ or some kind of device conflict with the Dell 355 Bluetooth module. I'm not sure who to report this to, but when I drop back to the 97.46 Dell drivers, the problem is solved. Hope this saves some others the headaches I have gone through trying to fix this problem.

Good to know. I just upgraded the video drivers last night and have a 355 making it's way to me right now. I'll watch for the same issue. Hiopefully I won't have the same problems.

Not with me it's not. My 9300 has 350 card internal and 100 series vid drivers. No issues at all. Only time will tell if installation of the 355 card will cause grief or not.

Hello,

maybe it's the same issue that i have.

It is not only a Problem with Bluetooth (Testet with 350 and 355) it is a issue with the USB-Bus. Every time a 100 Driver does a UAC-Message or an Display-Change (e.g starting Games) the USB-Bus receives a short reset. Some USB-Devices (as both Bluetooth Modules or the Microsoft Fingerprint-Reader) do not recover from this Reset until the are swtiched on/off. For some other Devies as USB-Mouse this results "only" in a short stuttering.

I am in contact with Dell Support so track down this issue, but as Dell only offers 97.xx and 98.xx drivers this may take a while ;-). In the meantime the only help ist staying at the 98.08 or 97.46 Driver.

I have noticed the problem with USB devices and Forceware 100 series as well. Such as removing a USB Key can lock up the system on occasion.
