Well, I haven't been a member for too long, but this forum has helped me a million times. Therefore, I decided to thank you all with this, very first, post of mine.

Ever wanted to become one of the very few "mortals" owning a Clevo M57xA SERVICE manual? Your wish has been granted!

Here it is, ladies and gentlemen!

Feel free to thank and rep.

P.S. The moderators could make this one a sticky.

thanks to your service manual I was able to bring back to life a Sager 5320-C that I got off eBay...(similar to 57xx but 15.4 inch screen)

it was new machine but looked like elephant sat on it, lid bent up, LCD smashed. Audio DJ works, battery charges, push the power button it lights and thats it.

found broken crystal near clock gen chip, replaced and machine would boot, sometimes, but black LCD screen.

found broken crystal at PCIE GIGA LAN and broken smt capacitor at its enable input. This was preventing the laptop from booting. Replaced and everything working, except still black LCD screen.

video module not in service manual, visual check and found 2 cracked smt resistors, replaced and perfect video...Radeon X700, and performs very well.

just ordered new glossy wsxga LCD module off eBay...first to un-bend all chassis and lid parts, install new LCD, and then its fun time!

thanks very much for sharing your service manual!

Excellent. Thx a lot.
My built in camera is no longer working on my sager NP5760 based on clevo M570U.
Now I know how to dissassemble keyboard to check connector and LCD to remove the device.

My built in camera doesn't work correctly anymore either. I have a 5760 also. Windows will detect it when I screen is from closed to about 45 degrees open. After that it acts like I disconnected it. Looks like I will be opening my case soon, I just need to stop being lazy.
