So I have a device that I just want to charge through my computer. When it detects a data line (ie computer usb port as opposed to wall charger adapter), it becomes unusable. I've heard there is a way to just disable the data line - which i have found, but it in turn disables more than one usb port while the others revert to usb 1.1 standard.
I have a e1505 and i've found that disabling ports USB host controller at ports 27C8 and 27CB (of ports 27C8 through 27CC available) disable two of them and revert the others to 1.1 standard ie slow. disabling only one of them still has the data lines in all of the ports active. now it is somewhat of a hassle to enable/disable them over and over and i was wondering if anyone knows of an easier way or a certain combination or messing with the 5 root hubs. disabling it as a mass storage device does not work, even after unplugging and plugging it into the same port
