8890 Choppy DVD Playback

Grrr...
My 8890 will not play back DVD's anymore. It will burn them, and read DVD discs to install/play games, but I cannot play back movies at full speed. They stutter a ton. I got a new version of Power DVD to see if that would clear it up, but no luck. Any hints?

Hello Justin, there was a BIOS update (version 10) that fixed this issue (if this is indeed the same problem as most of the other DVD skipping issues). Do you have the latest BIOS update? If not, and you need it and cant find the links here on this board, you can PM me your email address and I can send it to you. If this is not a BIOS problem then of course this could be a typical virii, spyware, resource issue that you would need to sort out with other tools found all over the net. Take Care, Andy
