T2500 Yonah 2.0GHz vs. T7200 Merom 2.0GHz temps

Just comparing the temps of these two cpus. The T2500 is in my e1705 and the T7200 is in my M1710.

Idle temps=

T2500 - 22C
T7200 - 32C

Load temps=

T2500 - 59C
T7200 - 61C

Both CPUs have AS5 applied but 22C is crazy low in my opinion, I haven't seen a laptop CPU idle at them temp ever. It has been verified with atleast 5 temp monitoring programs. What temps are you guys hitting with your T2500 and T7200, or any other merom or yonahs?

Just want to add some benchmarks:

Super PI Mod 1.5XS:
T2500 - 1m 12s
T7200 - 1m 2s

I'll add some 3dmark CPU scores later.

My T7200 does 20C when fans are on high. And around 23 when fans on slow.

Only my 7900gtx stays around 35C nothing done to the cpu or gpu both stock. Havnt appleid AS5 either.

The 20-22C temp is with slow fan speed. What program are you using to check temps?

My 7900GTX and 7900GS idle about 47C each.

My T2500 idles at 26 C with fans on low (no AS5). 7900gs single pipe idles at 51 C

My T2600 idles @ 30deg - A5S applied, under load with fans on high 51Deg (currently there now encoding a new movie)

7900GS @ 48 - 52 on idle (fans on low) O/ced 464/800 1V on load up to 88 - 90 deg fans on high

22 seams rather low, but don't forget it all depends on out side temps - now in Ausi & 30 deg C so it's not possible to get temps lower than 30deg

Reapplied AS5 on my T7200, still around 30C, probably dropped 1 degree. The T2500 is still around 22C. Even the original T5200 C2D in the E1705 idled about 30C

I would have thought the C2D had lower temps than the core duos.

Both my 7900GTX/FX 2500M and 7900GS idle at about 47C with AS5 applied

With my C2D set to full power 24/7 it idles at about, 35C or so. Used to idle at about 25 without full power. These are both with fans set to low all the time.

Probably just the difference in the individual chips.
