I still have the 2 512MB Sticks my Laptop came with. Now one appearantly died and I'm looking for an upgrade but I'd like to keep the working stick. Now funny thing is that when I checked the Ram's they came out to be DDR400 but I thought the 3790 only runs DDR 333? It's also a no-name brand as far as I can tell, TMTc.
I found a hardware store close by that has TMTc Ram DDR333 and DDR400 (curious thing is: the 400 is cheaper)
Now I'm not sure if I should buy the same brand so it's more likely they work together or go for a Corsair or a Kingston. Do you think I could lose lots of performance with the noname brand? I mean the two sticks from this brand have worked well the last 2 years and I probably won't use the Laptop a lot more than another 2 years.
