5680 Reliable

Is the 5680 reliable, or is it going to break down in 2 months? Do they perform great?

the kid at my school has had his 5680 since last summer, and he loves it, and his only gripe so far is the internal wireless network is kinda flakey in and out so he just put in a pc card then his conections pretty solid...
