Got something?

Vista will install it's own driver for wireless and it is working fine. Everything is good except for the card reader, and that driver can be found here, http://secure2.tx.acer.com/VistaDown...cerSeries.aspx along side with Launch Manager and the new bios.

Hi guys, i have just installed Vista Ultimate 32 bit.
I saw some of you got a base score of 4.0
But my Base score is only 2.8

CPU : 2.8
RAM : 4.0
GFX : 4.3
Gaming GFX : 4.3
HDD : 4.3

Is this score reasonable or do i have to update the bios to obtain better score?
Thanks a lot in advance.

Sorry I have another problem.
The new bios restarts my computer when it warms during a game, for exemple.
I have reinstalled the old bios and it does not reboot any more.
I do not know if I have to contact the hotline ?

VyNNeR, i have a 4005 et my performance is :
CPU : 4,0
RAM : 4,5
GFX : 4,3
Gaming GFX : 4,2
HDD : 4,4

THe new BIOS did the same to me, I just cleaned the fan and it's 14c cooler when I'm playing game now.
Ok thanks, I am reassured.
How did you clean the fan ?
I can't open it because I have the extension of guarantee of 3 years.

I used a vacumn cleaner by advise from another user in here. Turn the laptop off. I removed my dvd drive just to get a good air flow through the laptop when using the vacumn cleaner. Put the vaumn up against the fan and let it suck all the dust out, worked for me.

Ok, I have just made what you have just said to me.
I can't see a real difference now.

I will test with a game.

Thank you and again sorry for my english.

But the fan didin´t turn off! I thought the new Bios is the Solution, but...
When I play, my cpu is more than 70° Celsius even after the cleaning !
It is far too much, isn't it ?

Ok !

I am going to reinstall the new bios.
If F4005 reboot still, I would reinstall the old bios and I would not put the new.

Thank you still for your help !

Reinstalling the new bios won't help anything because it's a feature to help prevent overheating.
Ok but if this feature prevent overheating and if my F4005 reboot when it is too hot : there is a problem ?!

I have just made a test 3D Mark and the processor is about 90° celsius has the end of the test. But with the new bios, my computer did not restart. Do I have to conclude that 90° Celsius is normal for full load ?
