How much did you get off of Dell for your Employee Discount?

I'm planning on buying a dell...but want to know how much you tend to get off from the Employee Purchase program.

I actually JUST left my job....but are they really fussy about the EPP? Like will they call up my old work just to make sure I work there (even if I have the code)? Thanks.

they may or may not be its luck of the draw but usually people are safe. also might depend on which nation you are in.

as for EPP my last dell order saved a whole 12% with epp and then additional deals on top of it for some really sweet savings.

Wow if someone worked there and bought a notebook when I did they could of saved 47%! I saved 35% on my system!

i ended up saving over 35% in total but the rest was on the other discounts they had running...

They sent me a 35% off coupon so I used it! I was really please. My system should of cost: $1650.00 and shipping and tax wasn't included in this figure. How much I paid: $1129.26+shipping and tax included. How Much I saved: $577.50 The only flaw was that I didn't get an express upgrade to vista or 2GB of RAM (which I really want), but other than that it worked really well.

When did they send you a 35% off coupon? That's ridiculous! Why didn't I get one? I've bought 3 computers from them!

I got 45% off my E1505 when I ordered it. I had the 33% off coupon plus the 12% EPP code. My system was configured for $1890 and I paid $1080. That also includes 3 year on-site warranty.

the 12% thing is kind of misleading, you only get it on XPS systems currently if you got for the 4yr warranty bundle. However, they add extra bonuses on top. I think i had configured my XPS m1710 with the 3yr bundle (10% savings) and still managed to hit about 25% off list. On other systems, like the 1505 which is generally available with extra discounts, you can see a significantly larger savings percentage.

I'll try it again and an let you know what my discounts were (without coupons).
