Vista configuration "issue"

Here's am odd question.

Every time I plug in a USB drive, or anything into a USB port or the smart media port, the express port, or even when I insert a CD I always get the window: "Please wait while Windows configures PSC 2100 series printer".

Why does it do this?

Is this a Vista thing?

While it goes away quite quickly, it's quite annoying since the printer was installed a long while ago!

I could begint o guess why it does that but if you have installed that printer, try to get the newest software and drivers off their website or try reinstalling the printer with administator right, you will have to right click the program and say run as administrator.
