3880 dead

Hello everyone,

I have bought 3880 model from PC Torque in Aug'05. It always worked great and I had no major problems with it. Since last week it refuses to turn on, period. I have a feeling that the motherboard is dead. When I purchased the computer I bought extended warranty through PC Torque, so since computer is only 1.5 years old it still should be under warranty. I have tried to contact PC Torque, however I had no luck with it (phone, fax, email charles@pctorque.com, forums PM etc).

I have paid the money and I expect to get the service as it was claimed originally. As of right now, the so called advertised "fast" email response and 24/7 support seems to be completely BOGUS and I am getting very upset. I get the feeling that I am getting completely ignored. PC Torque, if you are busy "reconstructing" your site as you claim, at least send a courtesy email explaining what is going on.

If anyone can advise how to reach PC Torque and ACTUALLY TALK TO THEM, I would greately appreciate that. Otherwise, join up, tell your stories and build up a list of upset people with PC Torque customer service.

You should be contacting the people who you have the extended warranty with. PCTorque is only responsible for the 1 year Sager warranty. If you've been reading this forum recently you should know that ATS, an extended warranty dealer, is out of business. If your warranty is through them you are sol. Sager will give you a 10% discount, i believe, but they will not honor the 3rd party warranty.

I would gladly contact party responsible for the extended warranty, however:

1) PC Torque never sent me information regarding my extended warranty
2) At the time of the purchase there were 2 options about extended warranty: Phillips/Magnavox and PC Torque. I've selected PC Torque (it was cheaper)

and since they are "unreachable" I do not know what to do next.

This is day 7 of silence by the way.

shprot, please see your original invoice (if you don't have it, try logging into PCT's website, they keep a record of your past orders) and confirm the company your extended warranty is under. Are you SURE you got one under PCT?

I sure that is what I got in terms of extended warranty. Unfortunately I do not have the invoice... I moved few months ago and a lot of paperwork got "lost" in some of those boxes. I tried to log in to PC Torque website as you adviced, however there was no relevant information under my account.

Please pm me your name and contact information (however you'd like PCT to contact you) and I will get in touch with them for you.
