9860 video card HELP!!

Last November the 6800 Go in my 9860 died, which I attributed to video memory corruption similar to this thread: http://www.notebookforums.com/thread153078.html

I recently purchased a used 6800 Go card off eBay, salvaged from an Alienware m7700. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that the m7700 and the 9860 were internally the same. Sager tech support says they know nothing of the m7700, going so far as to say "We are not familiar with the Alien ware machine at all." Aren't these the same guys performing the motherboard swap on Sager and non-Sager branded Clevo d900t-based systems?

Anyway, I installed the new card and got nothing but a cycle of white flash/black screen loops (see video: http://www.theforeverproject.com/mis...deo-card.html). To test it, I reinstalled the old card, but instead of seeing the garbled BIOS boot screen I was expecting, I saw this: http://www.theforeverproject.com/mis...ideo-card.html.

I inspected the video cards and they seem to be the same. Can anyone help me figure out what's going on?
