Ugh ... I didn't expect to cause an argument like that, but by telling us about it, apart from us telling you to do the same old "wipe + start fresh" routine and other misc stuff, what else can we do about it (?)

If you can't settle for something good/the best, always go one step below it and settle with that. Ain't that the way of life? Dell in my opinion is fine, and I suggested that because you mentioned you use it 90% for work. The first thing to strike my mind was that if you're going to work on it most of the time, a them Light and Slim AW laptops would do you, or one of Dell's (cheap and does the job). I do not see why you need a pure powerful gaming machine to do work on, if you're going to work 90% of the time.

But, if circumstances were to change and you mentioned that you play games on it 90% of the time and you aren't happy with Alienware, I would've pointed you to:

http://savrow.com

or

http://rockdirect.com

Both equally as good in terms of power and can play games just as well, in the laptop area.

Having said that, apologies for the late reply, long day at college.

Oh, as well as that, accept that:

Life is unfair. Waste no energy trying to change that.
Most things in the world are out of your control
Anger doesn't solve anything.
It's your choice to get angry about those things
anger makes a rich man hated and a poor man scourned.
no one likes to be around an angry person.

Once again, does the government really lie? hmmm... Are you sure that Al Gore didn't invent the Internet? How did Alienware get their technology from the crash site that is now known as Area 51?

wow......... real makes me think why the hell am i even reading this.........oh yea, to point out the fact they do lie(the government, though i have no proof.......yet)

on a totaly different note, they got technology from a crash site? holy crap! lol

I'm going to have to agree with lerpon's statement...it is not necessary to bring politics into a discussion about computers...BTW, some of us support the government and find offense to the title of this thread...if I wanted to talk politics or bring issues up I would go to a different board but if I wanted to ramble about AW and computers then this is the place to be...some food for thought!

PS: point is if it was unclear...keep politics, religion, etc. out of these boards...reason is it causes too many problems and divisions...

aaarh, i wont bother to read through this whole thread, so this may in no way be related to what you guys are talking about right now...
anyway, i´m just fed up with all the damned people who are acting like children because their computers act strangely/ has something broken and so on. and then they thing that because of the 200p check things like this should not happen. that´s just plain stupid...
baaaaaaaaah!

EDIT: I just noticed you mentioned you use it for work. Go back to Dell if you're going to be so upset/angry/stressed, we can't do much about it ... I don't see why you brought this in the first place if you're going to use it most of the time for work .....
Who are you to tell someone what to use a computer for. He purchased the laptop on the basis that he was getting a quality system. If he just wants to play Solitaire on the damn thing, that's his personal choice?

Why do people by Ferraris only to put 600 miles on them a year, because they have the money and it's their choice.

I think we should all just take a deep breath and move on to another thread...

PS: Welcome to the boards Koopato!

THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT LIE
If I was Alienware, I'd be workin' on a libel suit. There's no way they could be lying more than the government.

I think we have a spy here...
