Well put in that post two posts back Aurora. <--thats a mouthful eh?
I bought a Plextor External DVDR+/- a few days ago. I decided to upgrade to the latest firmware off of their site for good measure.
Well, wouldn't you know it...the firmware borked the DVDR so bad it won't burn anything except shiny coasters now :-/
I politely called Plextor and after one more avenue that their tech support suggested, they decided the unit was beyond software repair. There is a new on one the way to me as you read this...along with a 5pack of DVDR's to offset my new coaster collection.
Moral of the story is you have to give a company an opportunity to correct issues that may arise with their products and services. 99% of companies are good hearted people that truly want to put out a great product and back it with excellent support but in between the trials and tribulations of everday businesses (and believe me I work for a billion dollar, multi national corp...I know), especially one as big as Alienware, the level of disconnect can be accentuated unknowingly by the manufacturer.
The fact that we've seen several posts by Alienware-Juan speaks volumes. And if you still think Alienware doesn't care (ahem, constant Alienware flamers that have never owned one, you know who you are)...then you've got a long life full of disappointments ahead of you.
I've bought homes, cars, boats, every electronic device you can imagine, ect in my 30 years and believe me when I say, Alienware ranks at the TOP of my excellent purchasing experiences.
Ok, nuff said...now I've got to go work so I can pay for all these toys

Have a great day everyone!
