Hi Folks,
I am looking for a multipurpose printer. Wireless, printer, copier, scanner and Fax (preferrably with a duplexer for double sided printing.
I looked at the HP 7410, which does all these things, but it got terrible reviews from actual costumers, though CNET as usual gave it a super8. It is expensive with utterly useless technical support for a faulty unit....well that is what i read. I notice that HP no longer advertise it on their websites, so i assume it has gone out of production.
Basicly i want something reasonably compact, i am a consultant whose office is a room at home, no giant commercial suggestions please. It won't get a huge amount of use, i also like the idea of individual ink cartridges, rather than having to replace a whole block when one colour is gone.
I was also told that a printer where the print heads are part of the cartridge is a good idea, as that means the heads get changed on a regular basis.
I will rarely be printing photos, lets face it, they are damned expensive.
I am based in the Republic of Ireland, generally anything you get here from shops like PC World are years out of date.
Thanks,
RD
