Asus A8JS - Question about Ram

Thread Starter
I need a labtop that is 15 inches or small and has good gaming capabilities. The Asus A8JS seems to be perfect; however, I would prefer a computer with 2 GB of ram.

I was wondering if I ordered this unit - what would be the best type of ram to install into the laptop. Is it safe - will I encounter any over heating problems by adding extra ram?

Given by needs and my $1400-1600 budget. What would be the best laptop to buy and the best place to but it at?

You might want to save some money and get an A8Jp instead. The video card isn't quite as powerful as the one in the A8Js, but it's close, and it's a few hundred dollars less expensive. Either way, you'd want 667 Mhz DDR2 SoDIMM memory

I added a 2 GiB memory card to my A8Js with no noticable increase in heat. AFAIK all A8J models come with 1 GiB of DDR2-667.
