no dell does not offer the G model

right not I have my setup as follows-

CPrimary) [21 GB] :-WinXP & all my Apps
DMedia) [90 GB] :-Games/MP3/Pictures
EArchive) [17 GB] :-Driver backup/downloaded utilites/document backups...etc
VVista) [21 GB] Vista installation & Apps

I removed the MD3 & the diag partition...It's not something I needed.

I prefer to keep things seperated Works out a lot better for Ghosting as well as for recovering from a crash

Yea I'm the same way, keep the OS partitions slim and the important stuff on other partitions so I can blow the OS away when I need to. Fortunately the USB to IDE/SATA adapter I have (which works like crap for 3.5" drives grr) should allow me to clone my present HD to the 160GB when it comes and save me some time. I was thinking 30GB XP/30GB Vista/20GB Music Cache/~74GB VMs Installs and Docs . I'm not gonna bother trying to gaming on the 7400Go since I have my other comp.

My XP & vista Partitions are holding up @ 12.1GB & I have a ton of software installed.

I have hibernation disabled on both systems (OMFG I cannot believe how hard they make it to disable it on Vista!!!!!)

My swap file is set to 256-512 on both systems as well. have never needed to modify it from there.

anyways...Yeah I always love seeing people that have 1 huge partition. something goes wrong & they can't get it fixed & it ends up causing a huge mess.... That & it's disorganized lol...I love being organized. I think my setup accomplished that w/o over-doing it.
