Hypersonic HORRIBLE shipping SNAFU!

Wow, just wow. I'll paste my email I just sent Hypersonic about what I came home to today.

Alex,

I just received my Koskin laptop case that was missing from my initial order. Let me say, I'm shocked and appauled! Firstly and foremost, it is the WRONG case. It doesn't even come close to fitting my AX20. I Ordered the 19/20" Koskin case. This looks like the 17" version. Secondly, the box it came in was BARELY held together with strands of packing tape. In fact, the box WASN'T even sealed, I could see right inside. It didnt even have ANY packing material inside. The case was just thrown in there, haphazardly, without ANY thought about protection. FINALLY, the disaster recovery CD that you said shipped as well is MISSING. I dont know if you guys forgot to put it in there, or it just fell out due to the EXTREMELY HORRIBLE packing. Either way there is NO Recovery CD.

What the hell went on with this shipment?? This is purely unacceptable service to a customer who just spent nearly $5000 on a computer. I expect this issue to be resolved QUICKLY and PROFESSIONALLY.

I'm still waiting on my PCMIA Audigy2 Notebook card that is on backorder. Any updates with that?

Besides the initial week long delay and missing items, My initial order went fairly smoothly. I'm Really trying to remain hopeful that I chose a company that would take care of me but this incident is deplorable.

Hoping for a happy ending,

-Perthos

Axiously awaiting their reply....

Well if I'm not mistaken, there is no way to order a 19"/20" koskin bag because the only thing big enough to hold that is their canvas backpack for $39.
Yeah I had an issue with HS backordering my gpu when I ordered.
And the packaging of the koskin was subpar, but then again, not much is needed to secure the bag because it comes in a separate shipment. I thought that the shipping box of the actual laptop was fine though.
Good luck with the backordered stuff.

I have my Hypersonic EX7 up for sale, asking 3 grand....my next laptop will be the new gaming rig from Sager, though Hypersonic has the same laptop EQ7, I decided to give Sager a shot due to the issues people here have had with shipping and repair work, plus Sagers Price is a bit lower for the same laptop and they give lifetime suppoprt, not that I need it( I build and repair computers here in my area) but the fact that they offer it is great. Hypersonic has to make some improvements. I have emailed them several times in the past and they say that changes are in the works.....well thats been over 6 months ago and nothing has changed......their customer service has a lot to be desired.....cant keep customers like this...specialy when people are spending 4 grand and more for laptops.......

Just like to update you guys on the issue. I called Hypersonic and worked it all out. They air shipped a replacement 20" Koskin case (all free of cost). It arived 2 days after I made the call. The case is great and fits perfectly. This time they did a much better job with the packaging. They did miss shipping the CD recovery disc, but considering my level expertise with computers I'll probably never use it anyway. Still it would be nice to have. As far as the computer goes, I must say, it has been a joy to use. Working out a few teething issues, but nothing major. It might be just the fact that after I dumped so much cash on the system, I'm being Hyper critical. But all in all I really love this machine

As far as Hypersonic goes, they really need to make some improvements. They really have a lot of potential to be a exceptional company, but just seem to lack going the extra mile to make that a reality.

SNAFU? QSHUYTAODYO{AYUY!!! See I can make on internet lingo too. Sorry, just had too. Good news that everything got worked out. And well yeah every company has something to improve on. Hypersonic has always been the company that I hear the last bad about, same with Sager.

I hope the support is better at sager...honestlt I wish I could build my own laptops...since I started to build desktops I have been very happy with the results and the money spent.....it can be a bad headach at first, getting the mobo set up and bios updates ....I like intel boards because you have very little problems durring set-up but Intel dont have the options form a good gaming machine, hopefuly they are changing that

My problem with Hyper is the support and also the fact that my EX7 realy aint the performance machine people are led to belive.....to me its above average for a gaming rig but to high priced for the performance you wind up with...I would have been better off performance wise to have gotten one of those Dell XPS laptops...but the options I like werent available from Dell.....the good thing about dell is they send out parts over night for warranty repairs, as much as I hate to say it...I belive Dells support is a few notches above hypersonics........once you get by their script
