Hey guys,
Im having a problem playing DVD's on my laptop. Its an IBUYPOWER laptop, with an ATI X1600 video card. Originially when I put in a DVD, (DVD compatible drive of course) and launch Windows Media Player 11, I get a error message saying that it cannot run due to a confliction between the video card and dvd decoder. It points me in the direction to updating my video card. So following the direction I attempt to do so by going to the ATI site and getting the latest mobility X1600 driver. However while attempting to install the driver, I get an error message saying something similar to the drivers not compatible with the software or something like that. Now I've tried uninstalling (deleted all ATI source files) and re-installing with the new driver update, but the same error occurs. But, the CD that came with my laptop that has the original ATI driver and catalyst controller does install correctly.
If anyone knows of a possible solution, or another type of driver id be very thankfull. Im hoping i have supplemented you with enough information, if there is any other info you may need for clarification just post and ill answer it as soon as i can.
Thanks
