OK, we're ready to roll out the upgrades. Again from the last news update, if you have an 8880, 8882, or 8886 system and wish to upgrade it to the new 8887 motherboard with 128MB M9 video, HT and 533 FSB compatible system you can upgrade it. It's $495 if you bought in the last 12 months and $595 if you bought before that. Call or submit the request to Sager using the form on their website or calling the number in the tech help section here.

As for future upgrades, it all depends on how well this goes and they must test systems for compatibility.

There's been a lot of talk going around about hard drive upgrades such as 80GB hard drives and 7200rpm hard drives. It's something important to all of us since it's a major bottle neck of performance. We don't have any dates or even hints worth passing along for an estimated time of release.

The 5670 as mentioned in the last news update will have the 128MB video and the compatibility for HT if all goes as planned. People seem to be confusing this with the M10. This will be the M9 128MB like in the 8887. We do not have a date on it yet because it's still being debugged it appears.
On the subject of the M10, predictions are it will be out and mass produced some time after July and released in the Sager with the 800 FSB!!! Of course, no need to push Sager on this, it's Intel you want to be pushing to get things rolling =).

We're working on having an available temperature monitoring software to aid in troubleshooting and watching your system. There's no word right now if it will be available, but it IS being looked at.
