Tablet PC for a semi wet environment

Hello All, I have a question. I work at a fish warehouse and we want to use a tablet PC to inventory our refrigerated storage. I just started as thier IT guy this week and it seems like any old tablet PC would not hold up well under those conditions. I am aware of the Toshiba Toughbooks and they look like what we need but they don't want to spend up to 4k for this.

My question is, does anyone know a good case or system for protecting a unit like this or are there any sound DIY methods?
Also if anyone could point me in the direction of less expensive rugged tablet (If they exist) That would be great.

Thanks All!

As a alternative solution you could use the other guys tablet PC and put a big plastic bag over the keyboard and the screen, if the environment is kinda cold ventilation probably wont be a problem. Just as a temporary solution.

I would look at getting a tablet that has some kind of available casing(like you can get for a PDA/mp3 player). I don't know if something like that exists, but it should if it doesn't. I'd think that someone should make a durable casing for a Tablet that allows you to still use all the functions but protects it from water/dirt, etc. I could be completely wrong though.

Thats what I ended up doing. I found a pretty goot Fujitsu tablet for $2200 & an OtterBox for $300. Unfortunatley the Otterbox only fits 2 models of the fujitsu or I would go with a more inexpensive model. The Otterbox is pretty sweet though. Its the only "good" ruggedized case I could find. That puts us at $2500 which is not bad for an alternative.

Thanks for the responses!
