5320 Loose LCD Hinge -- where's the screw?

I have a 5320-V that I just love, and probably abuse far too much. I'm starting to notice that the hinge on the left side of the system (when facing an open screen) is starting to come loose from the body of the system. I can pull it up about an 1/4th of an inch while the other side doesn't move at all. I've tightened all the screws on the bottom side of the system, and the thing's still loose. My guess is there's an internal screw holding that thing in that I can't see (I did try popping the cover of the hinge and didn't see anything there). Anybody have any idea how to get at tightening that screw w/out completely destroying my system?

I'm 98% sure that you have to disassemble the entire system to get to those screws.

That's frickin' sweet...anybody else confirm? I have an email into Sager support (my system's a month past warranty -- figures....)

If its out of warranty then you can take it apart without having to worry about voiding it

Oh, I have no problem taking it apart -- just worrying about putting it back together ;-).

You know a good plan of attack on these particular systems or have a service manual? I've taken apart a few HPs and Compaqs and Dells, but never a Clevo system.

I dont have a manual that specific, but I've had a LOT of the system apart before and its fairly easy to get everything back together.

OK, I got the thing apart and realized something -- I didn't need to take it apart at all. That, and I couldn't get the bottom cover off cleaning w/out feeling like I had to force it.

From what I can tell, there's a small metal post from the LCD that goes down into the main PC body. There's a screw that goes into the backside of the system (just to the right of the serial port, if you're looking at it from the back). That screw goes throug that post (at least from what I can tell) and the screw directly underneath the post on the base of the system goes into the post from underneath. The problem is that the post is cracked where that hole is that the back-side screw goes through, so there's a ton of play in it.

So from the I can tell, the LCD hinge/post needs to be replaced. Sweet......

I'll just make sure I'm gentle with the system until I can get it fixed.
