Laptop for Gaming Realtor???

Hey everyone.. I am a new Real Estate agent just starting out a couple of months ago, and it seems that my HP DV4000 that I have had for a couple of years now has just about had it (read about those problems in the HP Help forum haha).

Are there any other Realtors out there who could recommend a laptop which is reliable, long battery life, but I do also like playing video games, so I have to be able to do that!!

Thanks in advance for your answers

its a reasonable size for portability, its not a 17inch which means if you are travelling alot its easier to handle. it has good styling which while saying yeah its a gaming machine also its not so out there that you cant use it with clients. the battery life from my understanding is good, for most gaming needs (unless you love a ton of eye candy and max settings all the time) the go7600 in it will be good enough. support is good and there have been relatively few complaints about that series.

Questions for your question?

What type of games do you play?
What min. system specs. do you need?
What are you going to use your notebook for (business related)?

Your question is too generalized. A realtor can use anything from a ultra-light notebook, tablet PC, all the way to a lugable desktop replacement. I would say one thing is to stay away from any of those flashy gamer type notebook computers. Most people that conduct that kind of transactions will get a bad impression of you.

if you want to game and get a laptop so you can game on-the-go, might as well say goodbye to your profession lol.

just kidding. but yes your question is way to generalized. being realtor or no, does not change anything in deciding what laptop to get.

Yeah be a little more specefic? Are you a hardcore gamer or casual gamer? Whats your price range? Do you need it to be portable? Do you multitask? What kind of applications will you be running on this laptop? Are you ok ordering a laptop without seeing it in person? Do you want to play games at max settings 60 ^ fps? Or are you ok with medium settings 40 fps?

it's hard to recommend one without knowing the exact requirement. toshiba laptops look pretty cool & professional to me

Yeah we just have to wait for him/her to come back and answer some of our Q's. Then we can help him a lot more.

My mom is a loan officer, similar occupation. She has an M170, the model of XPS right under the newer M1710 and it works great for most games. It also has the 7800GTX. But on any "real" gaming laptop battery life will be an issue compared to other laptops.
