Skype 100% CPU usage

Hi All,
I have a Inspiron9400 and my problem is: when I start Skype the CPU usage goes to 100% that obviously slowing down my computer. Voice in skype is like in slow motion. That isn't happen on a clean/new system. I have Nod32 and Mcafee Ent firewall, and doesn't matter if both are enabled or disabled, the skype works the same. As I mentioned it doesn't happen on clean system. But it does happen after few weeks, with no reason. It's not because I've installed some software, it just happen. What I noticed after Skype goes down all my VoIP programms goes down as well. Everything workes fine except VoIP software. Does anyone have a clue, what might be wrong with my system? I've search skype forum and there is more people with this problem, but there is no solution for that.

Thank you,

Christoff

PS.
Apology for my english...

are you using the new 3.xxxx series?
that seems to be the issue... if you roll back to a 2.0.0.0.105 everything works wonderfully...

that new skype application is TRASH... i've had issues, not only on my E1705, but also on my desktops as well.....

Either of you guys try Gizmo? I like it a lot, but it seems to have an awful small following.

Skype 3.0.0.198 works fine for me for Skype-to-Skype calls.

For calls to/from landlines or cell phones, everyone complains of a bad echo.

I'm thinking of rolling back to an earlier version.

I restored winxp from hidden partition and I tried all vesion starting from 1.0 to 3.xx All versions didn't worked. I decided to install winxp form dell CD. On a completely new install the skype works great. Even all VoIP programs are working with no issue, so that had to be some driver, or dell software causing problems.
