Unspecified potential security risk message

Thread Starter
Recently I started getting an internet explore message whenever I start up AIM. The link below will take you to the image of the message I am getting.

Can someone please help me get rid of this? It just started happening a few days ago.

I have tried googling this but, I can't seem to find the solution. I have read others having the same issues when they try to open .zip files over the network but I can't find anyone having this problem when starting AIM.

any advice is much appreciated.

Thanks.

Is this message in Vista or XP and which version of IE are you using?

Vista has some security features in which it asks you if you want to enter a site or run an application that runs ActiveX or Java scripts that could be potentially dangerous. Unfortunately, it cannot differentiate between "good" or "bad" scripts.

AIM activates certain of these controls in order to gain access to the internet and the system (to enable file transfers) so Windows asks you if you really want to run the application.

Yes, Vista is more secure but can be considered very intrusive depending on the point of view. You can shut down various features in the Security Center options.

I am still playing around with Vista so I can't be of very advanced help now.
