Ok, here's the deal. I ordered a Dell Inspiron 9100 at the beginning of march, but, for those who haven't heard, dell is sucking right now. I'm not going to get it until the end of April. What a joke. So anyway, I somehow ended up at pctorque and the more I look at the Sagers, the more I want to buy one and say to hell with dell. So I need a little info on what to buy. I'd like the $1600 price range around the same specs as the 9100 I ordered:

Inspiron 9100
P4 2.8GHz H/T
15.4" WXGA
512 400MHz DDR
60GB
DVD+RW/R
ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 w/ 64mb
TM 1300 WLan 802.11b/g Mini PCI

I paid $1585 (that includes shipping) at Dell for the 9100. I'd like something similiar for around the same price. Any suggestions? I've been checking out the 4760 and it could be the winner. The 17" widescreen looks spectacular and the price is decent too. Please let me know what you think... thanks.

I kicked the idea around about getting either a dell xps or 9100, but ditched the idea when I called to get detailed specs and ended up having a dell guy calling me up 5 times in a 48 hour period leaving voice mails trying to get me to call them back and "finalize the order". I never told them I was going to buy, merely wanted information so that I could compare their systems with the alienware's. I specifically told the guy this before he went on his phonecall rampage

Then I seen sager and then found out about pctorque through this website. I would suggest checking out everybody you are interested in. You are smart by not jumping on the first deal you see (dell's goofy ass).

can you give more dtailed specs please?
like you say 60 gig but you don't specify rpm and buffer, you said 512 ddr but is that single stick or two 256's? was thier video ram shared or seperate, and whats a TM1300? ok im a goober and don't know all the terms, slangs, and names.... did your have an extended warrenty on it? the included shiping is that just USA shiping?
details man details, plus it will help if you specify your usage of the machine, etc...
