So after seeing those pictures, it's obvious I was wrong about a lot of things here. Most importantly, I assumed the chip right next to the ram was the cpu. I bought a better screwdriver (those cheap precision kits just wouldn't do) and was able to get all the way down to the processor. I switched the Celeron M with a Core Duo T2250 I picked up on ebay, booted up, but there was no display. I put the Celeron back in, but it wouldn't stop blue screening me at the vista logo until I installed vista again. So now I'm back where I started with a T2250 that may or may not work depending on what I'm doing wrong. Anyone out there know anything that might help?
