I also own this model and i just upgraded to 2gigs ram what is the advantages of switching cpu's,will it run cooler,faster....ect...ect....?

Excelent, I plan to buy a t2250 and a spare hard drive. I want to try this on a spare hard drive in case something does not work so I can swap back the hard drive and CPU as if nothing happened. If it works I have a spare hard drive that I can install in my desktop with a conversion kit or save the image of the working hard drive with an activated version of XP for a working backup with unlimited key life. I will let you know how it works.

Assuming I posted this correctly you should see my Windows 7 64-Bit screenshot, loaded down running XP Pro Black on VMWare, Winamp, Acrobat 9 Pro (and the rest of CS4 as well) and the active background. I've gotta say I've been impressed to say the least with a laptop I originally intended to just fix up and sell, it gets the job done for now
. Just wish it had an expansion port of SOME kind. That still baffles me that HP would leave that out....
