HELP! NEED PART NUMBER FOR 2nd Hard Drive Caddy M5750

Ok......I am kinda getting a little sick of the lack of support from AW lately. I sat on the phone for an hour and spoke to 3 different people......ALL TO GET THE STUPID 2nd Hard DRIVE KIT for an AW m5750. I even linked them to there own support website to show them a pic of the part I needed........Finally got someone who said they understood and I placed the order for the kit which was 20 bucks.

WELL......Got it in the mail today and guess what? It's a bag of screws!!!!!!

Does anyone know the part number for the second hard drive kit (caddy with cable) so I can put the open bay to use? Anywhere in the world sell them except AW? I already tried Uniwill w/o luck.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!THANKS!!!!!!!!

Aw man, that sucks...

I thought the hd cage was supposed to come with the laptop even if you only ordered a single drive in case you wanted to add a second later...

I assume you were on the phone with tech support, you might try talking to someone in customer service.

It was not in the box. I got it from the eBay AW outlet store. I found a thread that speaks of the Amilo Fujitsu having a similar componet. Any idea if the pinning is the same? Thanks guys!

Hey Dukefrukem! If it is not in there, I did manage to get a adapter and caddy. IF you need it I can sell you this one. Its just sitting here anyway.

Not really sure. They wouldn't sell me one because I didn't buy it directly from them. If you did, you should call them because it's supposed to come with it FREE.

If AW didn't send you the caddy Duke, they'll send you one free if you call customer service.

thats not right. I noticed all i had was the cable, and i called them and they sent the cage, new cable, and screws for free- and it was a couple months after notebook purchase.
2ND HARD DRIVE CAGE

my 5790 didnt come with the caddy- just the cable. AW set me one free after i called..(now I have 2 SATA cables-dunno what to do with the extra one)
For those for one reason or another who need one and cant get it from AW
here's a link. Links for parts and repair of AW systems for those out of warranty. Prices are a bit step, but i guess if your warranty is over, then it may be worth it to save a $4000 system.
