HT question

I know that HT creates a second virtual processor, but is it possible to have both processors work on the same application, or am I missing the idea completely?

It's possible to have both virtual processors work on one application, but only if the application runs in separate threads. Some programs run in only one thread, so hyperthreading won't do you any good in those. If they try to split off multiple simultaneous processes, though, it will.
