Stop Us Spelling In Word???

Thread Starter
OK the Americans can't spell; I accept that; but why when I buy a BRITISH mac and buy the Microsoft Office in Britain does it continue to tell me that it is in fact spelt "color?" My Dictionary knows what I'm talking (well it has both spellings lol) about but word continues to correct me. Lol I'm taking this what too far but it has annoyed me for the last time (hopefully) as I'm trying to do my English coursework and it doesn't look too good when I misspell simple words like "his honor was unquestionable." And I'm not the worlds greatest speller anyway so I can't afford to disregard spellcheck all the time. lol

So does anyone know how to stop this?? It's probably something really simple; and I'm gonna get ripped by the US guys lol- I don't mean any offense it's just annoying me and my English teacher is very unsympathetic.

Any help will be much appreciated; thanks!

i believe u can fix this.

open word, pref, spelling/grammar, click "dictionaries", aand change to UK english.

simple.

Americans cant spell maybe, but we can sure fix easy problems haha

now if it works, it works, if not, this should get u started

seems to not have worked here. maybe u need to set OSX for UK english as well? seems from what ive read you have to uncheck "use main dictionary only" also.

also noticed when i closed word, it resaved a file called "Normal..."

could make an auto correct entry, then add your spellings into the spell check as well
