Problem With Dell Quickset

Ok, so i have had my lappy since august and have had no problems until now. When I use the volum media options on my lappy it does what it is supposed to but the dell quickset volume meter doesn't sync with my volume. When I turn quickset off it works just fine but I can't use my media tabs to mute when it's off. I tried downloading and reinstalling but no dice.

Click on the volume control meter that comes up while pressing the quickset buttons and it should work like normal. If you installed any new multimedia programs recently, they could be what's causing the problem.

I have the same problem. And I can change it manually with the windows volume control. But is there any way to fix Quickset? I use those hotkeys all the time.
