E1505 9 cell battery life

My 9 cell battery doesn't seem to have as long as a battery life as I would have hoped for. I do use a wireless mouse alot, which I think may drain the battery more. It only lasts about 3.5 hours. Is it supposed to last longer? What types of settings should I use to get better battery life?

i got about 3.5 on my 9 cell too... but that was with power saving options for the cpu and the video card turned OFF, if u turn them on u might get more life

Im thinking of getting a 9cell button. What are you sysem specs, is it because you dont have onboard graphics so the battery drains down quicker?

I'm thinking of getting an extra 9cell battery. Does anyone know where to get a good deal?
Is the only way to charge the extra battery, is if it is inside the computer? Is there some type of adapter to buy so that battery could charge on it's own?

I recommend you get your batteries direct from dell so the warranty is good with them because it will be 1 year regardless of where you get them. To my knowledge keeping the battery in the system is the only SAFE way to charge them.
