m1210 high pitched noise

i just bought a xps m1210 and i hear this high pitched squealing coming from the left side of the computer. i think its from the wifi card because when the switch is off the noise is not as loud, but still present. any way to fix this?? should i get another wi-fi card?

specs: c2d t5600, 1gig ram, 60gig 5400rpm hd, geforce 7400, dell a/b/g wifi card. computer is running on vista.

Do a search. There are many people with the noise you are describing

zuluhammer i have the exact same problem
do ou have the abg card??
omg finally someone who thinks its the wireless card, when i turn the card off the sound dampens and i don't really hear it unless i put my ears real close to it

try to do this, go into safemode see if the sound disappears, as for the solutions posted on other websites.. i don't really think using third party programs to get rid of the squeal is a good idea. Right now Dell is sending over a new hard dirve cuz they think its the hard drive.. seems like its the wireless card afterall..
