An odd problem opening html files....

Ok when I open an html file on my computer from any location it gives my this error message:

Then it opens the page normally. I don't understand why I get this error. I don't know how or what caused this to start happening but it is VERY annoying. I have XP MCE 2005 and I use firefox as my default browser. I haven't changed any internet/browser settings recently. It doesn't affect links or pages opened from inside the browser. Also, it only happens if firefox isn't already runing. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

I have found that this only happens when html files are opened with firefox. If I open it in notepad or IE it doesn't happen.

Try updating Firefox..

I can open saved html pages just fine with the newest version.

Is it more of a link/shortcut to a page or is it acutally an HTML file?

It happens when I try to open the file itself or use a shortcut.

I am asking if you made a webpage and saved it as an HTML or if you tried to save one off of the internet.

This is a webpage I made and saved to a folder. It isn't one that I saved from the internet.

Thanks for trying. At least it doesn't bother me when I am working on webpages because I leave firefox open. I guess it will go away the next time I reinstall windows.
