The Dell M60 cad wise has no rival. Gaming it offers extremely good performance compared to gaming oriented machines like XPS, 51M and so on.
I read the dell boards too, because I owned a dell up too 2 weeks ago, prior to realizing the horrendous nature of their customer care. Although Dell-Machina is very knowledgable and an all around nice guy, and I do value his opinion, I do not believe he owns either a m60 or a a51m, if we want to read more about the information on the M60, we are more than capable of going over and trolling on the dell boards.
As far as your comments on Battlefield, my 450mhz Gateway Mooer with a 16mb grapics card plays battlefield quite well, I can save you $2000 if you want to buy it from me. Based on your reasoning and how well you've thought things through, it is almost as powerful as the M60.
So bye all means, buy the M60 aliens everywhere will rejoice knowing the Intelligence Quotiant Mean will stay in tact.
If this seems harsh, sorry, but from the beginning of this thread, I find it hard to grasp that someone would put down $3K on something the "really don't want, with all its baggage". That sounds idiotic to me. Although the people here tried to provide you valid information, you moved on to explain that we (I for all relevent purposes) didn't think you're issue through well enough. Now for whatever reason you are trying to sell us (me) on your crap system because you got information from a dell moderater indicating it is a wise choice.
So in a nutshell, my handy dandy dell flamethrower, with all of its flaws, is refueled with Troll-b-Gon and ready for use should you wish to continue this somewhat useless conversation.
