Camera from USB 2.0 to 1.1

Lately my built in USB monitor camera has been changing from USB 2.0 to USB 1.1 I'll hear the tell tail sound of a USB device detaching & reattaching several times then get a message in the task bar that a USB 2.0 device is attached to a USB 1.1 hub & will not perform as well. I've deleted each of USB devices from the device manager window, then searched for new hardware. The USB hub is rebuilt & the camera will function for serveral minutes to hours but ultimating will end up being attached through USB 1.1. I've deleted the driver for the camera & reinstalled via the original driver CD. I've heard that unusual USB activity has been reported when NERO is updated. NERO 6 OEM is installed via the supplied OEM disc. No updates.

Any thoughts?

Do you have Serive Pack 2 Installed? If so, uninstall all USB devices and then reboot. The appropiate drivers should then load. After that point, should the errors persist, please let us know.

Thanks for the reply Gary.
I am running service Pack 2. I think I have done what you have asked & yes the problem still exists.
Upon deleting the USB device listed in the device manager as USB2 the system asked for a reboot. I did that & the system reinstalled each of the USB devices.
Does that accomplish the uninstall that you are suggesting or is there another method?

Yes - That is what I was talking about. At a loss at this point.

Gary.
Thanks for your time. I don't currently use the camera so this is more of a nuisance than anything else. I like to keep things running if at all possible. I hate to wait until I have a need for the camera & than begin the process of seeking a solution.
If I find the answer I'll post back.
Anyone else have any ideas?

Update:
Last night after the computer dropped the USB2 connection & reverted to USB 1.1, I took up the keyboard, disconnected the camera at the plug near the hinge point & reattached. The system saw it as new hardware & set it up as USB 2. It was late so I didn't leave the system on long enough to feel confident that it won't drop it again.
I'll post back.

Update:
The camera hasn't reverted back to USB 1.1 since the disconnect & reinstall of the plug. Some crud in the connection, who knows.
