BEWARE of LaptopParts.com

I read many good reviews about this website and many people seemed to have good experiences with them. However, two weeks ago (March 12th) I ordered a replacement keyboard for my Inspiron XPS Gen 2 and right now it still says order awaiting processing. My credit card has already been charged.

I figured ok I'll just call them and find out whats going on. I call customer service and it says something like queue position 4. I wait like 20 minutes and finally I'm being connected. Then it says there is no person on the other line to take the call. I've made calls to them with the same result for a week. My numerous emails concerning my order were also unanswered. It's like this company died or something but is still taking orders. A few more days like this and I'm going to have to dispute the credit card charges...

What a pain in the ass. Has anyone else dealt with this company recently?

Update: Clicking the Better Business Bureau icon on the laptopparts.com website sends me to a page that informs me they are no longer a member. A search of this company on the BBB website shows that this company is rated D by the BBB.

That really sucks. I hhave never used that company before but what I would do is to call your credit card company and they should be able to take the charge off immediately.

Ebay would be your best bet.

Hey i3lu!!
I think your XPS Gen2 = XPS M170
If this is the case then here is the link for the replacement keyboard.

I've bought from Parts People in the past with no problems. Here is the link to the XPS Gen2 keyboard. It's currently out of stock - but they list the Dell part number and other interesting information.

I've dealt with Parts People as well and they seem like a good company. You can try e-mailing them to see if they are planning on getting any keyboards in.
