I've asked a similar question before, and I got all kinds of desk top webcam suggestions. The sky's the limit with those things.
-I'm talking strictly portable, made for a laptop, clip-on stick-on or whatever, but definitely not a desk top camera.
I see the Microsoft "Lifecam NX 6000" supposedly is 2 MP video, and 7.6 MP (interpolated
) for still shots @ 3200 x 2380 pixels.
At the very least, that's about the physical size of camera I like.
I don't care so much about the video for IMing- apparently there's an industry standard that states that they must all all suck, I dunno.
But I want a tiny webcam that can take large, clean, wide angle stills.
Currently I have a Logitech QuickCam and a little Creative webcam. Using their original softwares and another program, I'm not particularly impressed with either of them.
