3d mark 01 scores

I have a 3.2ghz p4 with a biostar p4m80 m4 and a ati 9700 pro everytime I run 3d mark 01 the score gets lower and lower. any reason for this? I started with a 15k something went to a 14.5 k and now is at 14.1k iam running it again. I was previoulsy having crashing problems but I updated my via chipset driver and things seem to be crash free for the moment. I will keep you guys posted though.

wow just now upon running it it quit and said VPU recover has reset your graphics accelerater as it was no logner responding to the raphics driver commands. and 3d mark 01 said reliable benchmarking cannot be completed because the 3dmark display window lost focus. any thoughts guys.

id say your video card is probably shot. I was having those exact same errors when I first got my notebook, which had bad VRAM (had to send it in for a motherboard replacement within 2 weeks of getting the machine)

thanks anaconda and thanks for helping me on the Messenger the other day, I think I will go beg my friends to let me try there graphics adapters in my pc. then i'll know for sure if this things shot.

Ok I went over to my friends and put in his 9600 pro and same problems, now I have tryed the newest omegas, catalyst 4.1 5.1 6.1 6.5 and 7.3 all do the same thing, put my nvidia geforce 4 TI4200 in it, no problems at all its been benchmarking for like 6 hours straigtht so I guess biostar boards don't like atis anyways my buddys going to sell me a 6800GT for 50 bucks today! i will let you know how that works.
