I have a Compal CL56 that doesn't start up since yesterday. When I press the power button the power led is on and you can hear the fan at 100% as usual. Then the fan goes off after a short time but the screen stays black. You can hear the harddisk working for a very short time but nothing happens...
I have to power it off by pressing the button for several seconds. The last thing I did was watching a DVD but it shut down correctly.
The warranty is over and I also had it opened about 1 year ago for inserting an internal bluetooth module.
Does anybody have an idea what this could be and what I should do or could check?
