The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

A few odd things. No respawn seems to be available on the system yet. No biggie.

I have a spare 80gb Hard drive so I will have two, and I have the memory for the system all ready to plug into it.

And they will be calling me tomorrow with the slight issue of overcharging $180 in taxes. I called them, and they're going to look into it.

The REAL bad news? Est ship date: May 23rd...

Still.. m9750! My first alienware!

Correct. It is not.

HOWEVER, a few links to the info page for it have been bandied about recently...

I don't want to give it away. But it IS orderable!

Well, if it's a secret, then I'm not sure posting it here was a good idea

But, in the event you're not pulling a delayed April Fool's prank, congrats on your order!

I'm not sure its a secret either... Get a copy of the latest PC Gamer, and they'll tell you how to order it.

Definately not a prank. No DX 10 cards available on it yet though.

It uses the mobile Core 2's, and you can get up to 4 gigs of ram in the system. THAT is expensive.

Starting price is $2099.

Sounds like just a longer phase game to me . Very cool to be one of the first on the list though .

I'm holding out for the dx10 cards - I'm pretty sure my m9700 will more than get me through until those cards come out...

Shalamar - what did your totaly price come out to - everyone has been a buzz about possible pricing here lately.

Congrats you lucky bastard on your order...

Being first on the list doesn't mean you'll be the first to receive, grasshopper... Remember those that pre-ordered the m9700 early weren't the first to receive theirs...

Just something to think about...

Other than that, no comment.

The m9750 is coming...

...soon...

Bah. I know THAT. I just wanted to finally place the order. I have the order placed, and I WILL keep an eye on the configuration page if anything changes. I figure I have a LONG time until it ships.

I do recall that if prices change, and your order isn't too far along, they will make the adjustment.

Besides, I KNOW it will arrive when I'm on vacation.

I only question why the processor option does not allow for the 1066mhz fsb processors that Sager is configuring their 17" Sli machine with?

Not satisfied with an early bird configuration until I can see the official Alienware.com order screen myself.

m9700 FTW!

The sager uses the desktop processors. The alienware does not.

I'm amazed they've been able to keep the price so "reasonable"... The price on my m9700 was more than you're paying for a more powerful system.

I'm conflicted... The m9750 is the perfect laptop for me, but the m9700 is very close. Not sure it would be worth the cost to sell the m9700 and buy new though as I'm about to get a new desktop...

I wish I was a rich man... ya ba dabba dabba doobie dabbie doobie doobie doo...

Desktop processors in laptops should be a thing of the past IMO... The current mobiles are more than adequate.

Shalamar stirred it up tonight! The first to post an order for the brand new m9750! Can't wait to see the first pics and reviews.

Yup. This is the laptop I wanted. Its not too heavy, its insanely powerful and since I am NOT a die hard gamer, I don't NEED DX10 cards.
