Thinkpad X60

Thread Starter
Looking to purchase IBM Thinkpad X60 and have not run across a lot of feedback. My primary purpose of a notebook will be taking notes in school (Computer Science Major), programming, web design, database work, and networking.

Any suggestions wether or not I will benefit from using a convertible tablet. This will be my first laptop, and would like to get something that will last for a couple of years while at school.

Any feedback is helpful. (Please give any suggestions regarding other notebooks).

Thanks!

We still have a x21 running thats almost 5 years old, with zero replacements or problems. Finally ready to replace it since it stumbled on running PowerPoint from Office2007.

These things are small, light, and very solid, and well worth the price. Sadly I have no idea about the tablet function.

I am also considering buying either the x60t, or just the regular x60. I just worry for the extra 2-3 hundred dollars, I won't find myself using the tablet functionality. It does look fun though.
