The Sager 9260 is configurable with intel's desktop lineup for C2D, including the Quadcore. Plus it has dual 7950gtx go cards in SLI.

I hope so I just bought a dell m1530 with a 2.6 duo so i hope dell will have a upgrade avalable in 2-3 years. thats when most programs would support 4 cores. Right now i am working with a 2.00ghz single core it is so slow. I got the m1530 fully tuned with blu-ray, solid state, 2.6 ghz (t9500). Better be worth what it costed

In my experience with Laptops, no, you won't be able to upgrade to Quad Core. Odds are Intel never provisioned these mobile chipsets for Quad Core CPUs.

Desktop CPUs and mobile CPUs aren't the same, there are similarities in architecture, but chipsets and sockets differ quite substantially. Also, the notebooks using Desktop CPUs are also using desktop chipsets that support Quad Core.
