ML6703 XP SATA drivers?

Anyone know where I can get some S-ATA drivers that will work under XP for the Gateway ML6703? I am the 2nd person to attempt it on this laptop and so far i've not got any further than the last guy. We've tried several different Intel Matrix storage drivers. All of which either don't work at all or throw a BSOD when loading the driver.

Unfortunately, the entire disc has been wiped and the image taken before the wipe is borked somehow too. There's no going back at this point...

I only really need to know which S-ATA controller is used on this laptop, but a direct link to a driver would be greatly appreciated too.

what version have u tried so far? there is a driver for normal chipset and one for mobile chipset

I have a similar problem with a cx2610. Has anyone had any luck with this problem? And thanks ghn for the link it looks promising....

Well I've got the cx2610 up and running, right now its installing almost 100 xp updates. If you need to do a fresh install you'll have to slipstream the install with the intel drivers from the link above. Its the first time I've done this and it was pretty easy and would have been easier probally if the system was up and running before. Once again thanks for the link ghn.
