My Inspiron 2650 has a bad harddrive.

Are there any special considerations I should take into account or will most IDE 2.5" HD's work in this unit?

make sure that it is an ide. most likely its ide. but just double check to make sure its not sata.
and yeah, most 2.5" hdd's will fit, there are a few oversized ones.. I believe the 200gb one made by fujitsu or hitachi is a few mm too tall for some notebooks, but if you're getting a normal 100gb hard drive, you'll be fine
and if you need data backed up, don't throw that old one away :] unless the hard disk doesn't spin, its possible to back it up

anyone know if dual harddrives is possible in the 9400 like the dell 9300?
